Tastings, training courses, cognitive meetings on the culture and wine itineraries will characterize the first edition of «Sassi divini: Basilicata Campania», scheduled in Matera from 5 to 7 January.
The initiative, organized by the Lucanian Regional Enoteca, with the contribution of the Lucanian Sommelier Association and the Consortia of Aglianico del Vulture, Matera doc and Grottino di Terranova producers, is dedicated to the wines of Basilicataand Campania, presented by about thirty producers which will propose a hundred labels..
The event, which will unfold between the rooms of the Mediateca in the Palazzo dell’Annunziata and via Fiorentini, in the Sasso Barisano, intends to constitute the first stage of a journey of enhancement of oenology and, consequently, of the products of good food of Basilicata, in relation to the potential offered by «Matera European Capital of Culture 2019».
The aims of the initiative were illustrated during a press conference by the president of the regional Enoteca, Paolo Montrone, by the president of the Lucanian sommelier association, Eugenio Tropeano, and by the Aglianico del Vulture wine protection consortia, Francesco Perillo, and by the doc Matera, Vito Cifarelli.
