The name “Finocchiaro” originates from the vineyard of the same name from which this wine is produced, located in the municipality of Lavello, in the Monte Vulture area.

CHARACTERISTICS AND PAIRINGS
The vinificationof Finocchiaro Rosso IGT Basilicata takes place through pressing and destemming with a small destemmer and fermentation on the skins for about 18 days in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature (26 ° C).
Aging: 3 months in 225 liter French oak barrels. Bottling and subsequent aging for 6 months in the bottle.
The organoleptic test shows an intense red color with violet reflections, aromas with notes of red berry fruit and spices, with a strong and velvety, intense and spicy taste.
To be combined with first courses with game-based sauces, medium-aged cheeses and red meats. The serving temperature is 16-18 ° C.
