Vitis in Vulture with its 95 hectares of vineyards spread the Vulture area represents one of the most important producers in Basilicata.
It is led by President Giuseppe Avigliano, an agronomist and agricultural entrepreneur with considerable experience in the oenological and agro-industrial sectors. The company’s objective is to create a unique link in the supply chain, starting with the cultivation of the vineyards, passing through the various stages of vinification and ageing in the cellar, and ending with bottling and marketing in Italy and around the world.
At the center of the company is the innovative cellar, designed by the important Japanese architect Hikaru Mori, a modern and distinctive structure, where activities, spaces and the public coexist in a unique corpus with the culture of wine and the Mediterranean.
In front of the winery stands a large archaeological complex, dating from between the 4th and 7th centuries. A.D. On the western edge, there are pits housing two Phitòi, mortar-lined containers used for the fermentation of fine wines.

MONTE VULTURE
The volcanic origin and the proximity to Monte Vulture make the difference to obtain wines of great quality. The Mediterranean climate and the strong temperature variations favor the polyphenolic complexity and the color of the wines.
The native vines grown are: Aglianico del Vulture, Moscato, Falanghina, Fiano, Greco, Malvasia e Primitivo.
